About Us

At Kootenay Christian Martial Arts we believe the core benefits of martial arts are important for ALL ages, making us strong in mind, body & spirit. For this reason we welcome and accommodate all ages from 4 yrs and up – there is no age limit! When one or more family members train and receive these benefits the whole family benefits.

Our core curriculum is Tae Kwon Do following the traditional kwan (school) of CHUNG DO KWAN, the oldest and most original form of Tae Kwan Do. Our black belt credentials are the best in the world certified by the Kukkiwon in Korea (World TKD headquarters). We are also a proud member of the USCDKA headed by Sr Grandmaster EB Sell and GM Brenda Sell.

Expert Staff

With 30+ black belts on staff, under the direction of Master Dean Siminoff (5th Dan), our student/ instructor ratio in very low to ensure students get the attention they need to be successful. We value each student as a unique individual.  The USCDKA motto is “To give strength to the weak, confidence to the timid and spiritual guidance to those seeking God.”
